Literacy West provides Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) activities to PreK3 and PreK4 students. *Must be a student at Genesee Valley Central School.

Belfast Central School, Fillmore Central School, and Friendship Central School

Literacy West, in partnership with Belfast Central School, Fillmore Central School, and Friendship Central School, located in Allegany County, provides an Extended School Day and School Violence Prevention program. Our mission is to enrich students’ lives via exploration of self, peers, & surroundings. Weekly clubs offering literacy enriched activities via hands-on programming (e.g., theatre, art, dance, STEM). The SVP program provides crisis-intervention counseling and support groups to target protective assets and risk factors, using research-based, effective programs.

Eligibility for Extended School Day program:

  • Belfast Central School District: Student in K-4th grade.
  • Fillmore Central School District: Student in 6-12th grade.
  • Friendship Central School District: Student in 6-12th grade.

Eligibility for School Violence Prevention program:

  • Belfast Central School District: Student in K-12th grade.
