Student of the Month: George
Students at CORE are hardworking, kind, and smart. We want to recognize their efforts and let them know how proud we are to be working alongside them.
Our May Student of the Month for Belmont is…. George! George is an outstanding student who is eager and willing to learn new things. He gives 110% of his effort to make small goals happen for himself in the classroom setting. George comes to class everyday with a positive and friendly attitude. He always greets staff as well as fellow students. When George first became a student at the Belmont site, he was very leery of using a computer. Staff is proud to say that George is now comfortable using a computer to broaden his learning skills and shoot for higher achievements. When asked what it is that George likes about coming to Literacy West/CORE The Learning Center he replied, “this place is like a family to me. Staff and other students are nice and willing to help me learn. I like when everyone comes together as a team and works together. Everyone makes you feel welcome”. Next on George’s list of goals is Algebra and all of us here at the Belmont site are more than positive that he will reach that goal too. Keep up the great work George! 🎉
